Quick Reviews #1

Just had to mention these even though they're more like my comments rather than reviews ;) haha but these books are definitely worth a read! No spoilers, just read the blurb and try it for yourselves. :)

Tear (Seaside #1) by Rachel Van Dyken

Goodreads Blurb

Life as a teenager is never easy. But for Natalee Murray, things have just gotten way more difficult. Bored with life, she can't wait to graduate high school and get out of town, especially considering the famous band members from AD2 suddenly start attending her school, making her once boring life, absolutely insane.

It starts with a pen. A single brush of fingers, and she is captivated.

But Alec and Demetri have a dark secret, one that could shatter their reputations and Natalee's heart. What do you do when one guy paints your life with color while the other infuses your soul with passion? How do you choose when your heart is divided?

*This is a New Adult/Mature YA. Minor swearing and drug usage.

My Review:

Ahhh I love it! It's just one of those reads, you can't help but enjoy. It definitely kept my attention from straying and I read it all in one sitting! #TeamAlec right from the start! So excited for book 2.

Three Years Later (In Too Deep #1) by Casey McMillin

Goodreads Blurb

The last thing Rachel Coleman wanted to do the summer before her senior year was go on a family vacation to Disneyland. The first thing she did when she got there, however, was run headlong into her happily ever after. Unfortunately for her, the guy was way out of her league.

Collin Blake, along with the rest of his college swim team, was just visiting Los Angeles for a few days. It was something the U Cal swimmers did every year. Falling in love definitely wasn't on his list things to do while he was there.

Is love at first sight even possible?
Collin and Rachel thought so. They had an instant connection... right up to the point when Rachel disappeared.

Can they pick up where they left off even though it’s... Three Years Later

My Review:

It was such a cute, funny, swoon-worthy and romantic induced read! It was perfect, I loved it! Everything except the abrupt ending though... I literally thought I was missing some pages, till I saw that others went through the same stage as me too LOL. Looking forward to book 2 and seeing more of the cast! :-)

My mom says that you can’t love someone until you learn to love yourself.
So even though Vincent is getting more and more scary.
Even though he’s doing a nationwide search for me.
I’m going to learn to love myself.

Well, I’m going to try.
Mostly, I want a boy to love me.
But which one?

Dawson - The gorgeous boy who made a mistake, but whose molten lava kisses and steaminess I can’t freaking resist.
or
Aiden - The God of all Hotties, who is practically infused with love potion. Who I thought liked me, but now says he wants to be my friend.
or
Brooklyn - The boy that first stole my heart. Who has always loved me. Well, until the whole cabana incident.

I mean, it was bad enough when there was sort of a love triangle, but now that I’m talking to B again, it’s like I’m in a love rectangle, or a rhombus, or something.

Oh, and did I mention Cooper Steele?
The new soccer coaching, health teaching, tattooed hunk?
Who Garrett sent to school to guard my body.
I mean, be my bodyguard.

But back to loving me.
I should forget about boys and worry about me.
Love me.
Like, eventually.

My Review:

Ah I love it! Didn't want it to end! It was such a great sequel to the other three books. I feel like we are finding out more about our favorite characters and that the characters are developing into mature individuals as well, especially Keatyn.

There were times where I got a bit frustrated that K took forever to pick a guy. I mean it became obvious which guy she was really into, but then she'd change her mind and errrrr all I could think of was 'omg hurry up and choose! Put the guys and yourself out of misery!' LOL

The ending was bittersweet. I absolutely found it cute and so romantic and cannot wait till the next novel, but at the same time I was like Noooooo! Don't end like that, don't end at all!

So if you haven't read this yet or this series. Then girl! What are you waiting for?! You might get a tad frustrated with so many guy hotties to choose from, but it is an absolute awesome series that must be read! And who knows maybe you'll learn something about yourself or some relationship advice... ;)

*Note: this is a NA romantic suspense novel for 17+.

Jules Hendricks has had a string of bad "firsts."

Embarrassing first kiss. Traumatic first date. An obsessive first boyfriend she can't understand.

It's taken her years but she's finally able to leave her small town life behind for a new start as a freshmen at UW- Madison. For Jules this chance to be independent and rebuild her life is an opportunity she won't ever let anyone take from her again. She's determined to make something of herself without a man by her side, in front, behind or anywhere near her.

Reid "Pax" Paxton is the star quarterback for the UW Badgers. His brush with death makes him understand how precious life is, and how important it is to take life by the horns, unafraid. Jules knows he's dangerous for her. Dark hair. Smoldering eyes. Killer smile. That dimple. That body. Those arms. Pax is everything she's trying to run away from, but she can't help coming back for more. Slowly he begins to show a life together can be more than just a dream. It can be their reality. The truth about reality is it's not always sunshine and butterflies.

Sometimes it's a wasteland.

Sometimes secrets can't stay buried.

Sometimes your past will find a way to hunt you down.

My Review:

4.5 stars!

I loved it from beginning to end. Definitely loved the unexpected surprises the author threw my way. And also, Jules and Pax are the sweetest couple ever! I definitely wanna find my Reid Paxton ;-) hahaha
Absolutely was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did, but definitely glad I got to read because it was such a joy and one of the most sweetest romance novel I've read. Definitely a MUST READ to any romantic readers out there!
