Review: Sweet Peril (The Sweet Trilogy #2) by Wendy Higgins

Sweet Peril (The Sweet Trilogy #2) by Wendy Higgins

Goodreads Blurb

Anna Whitt, the daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself she’d never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She’d been naive to make such a vow. She’d been naive about a lot of things.

Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school’s party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.

When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?

5 Stars!

Okay, so I fell in love with the first book just like everyone else out there. And when I found out there was a book 2, I had big BIG expectations for this one. And let me tell you, this book totally met that expectation and more!

It had everything that I fell in love with in the first novel but with so much more drama, humor, romance and that Wendy Higgins touch.

This time our favourite leading lady Anna isn't just roaming the United States, she's going around the world to gather some more friends. ;)

I love how Wendy doesn't just continue the novel from book 1, but that, she also adds a whole new unique adventure that we never expected. Wendy also adds that suspense and drama hat makes the novel much more interesting and captivating.

Even though we didn't really get more Kai action than I hope too, we got to know Kope a whole lot more. We got to see what a kind, caring and a truly great guy he is. His the type you know will always be there for you and will always have your back no matter what. But when Anna and Kaidan finally do get together or even have those little moments, it's like a mega explosion you knew was gonna happen, but when it does, your still left thinking..."whoa how the heck did that happen?!" And everytime that happens, it reminds me why I am on #TEAMKAIDAN! Talk about a major Swoon!!!

As the group makes new alliances and enters on a whole new journey, with that heartfelt ending, I feel like it's all leading to one big explosive ending in book 3 for which I'm super excited that Anna and Kai are going to be there for each other.  I mean how could you not be! :)

So if you lovely readers out there, loved book 1? You won't be disappointed in book 2!
:)
